What makes Jolene’s Jars so special, you ask? Well, here’s my story & I’m sticking to it!  Since childhood, I’ve been canning alongside my mother & Depression-era grandmothers. I happened upon a collection of antique jars in 2010, and took up the hobby again. Initially starting as a casual pastime, Jolene’s Jar has morphed into a full-blown, Florida-grown, business. All jars are made by me, Jolene, in small batches using elementary techniques such as hand chopping & peeling vegetables, and only the highest quality ingredients from locally sourced vendors. Unique flavors, mixed with traditional family recipes, are what set these products apart. Elevate your cheese plate, garnish a cocktail, or boost up your burgers. Let’s get pickled!

People have been fermenting & pickling veggies for over 4,000 years.  Ancient civilizations relied on beer & pickles to get them through harsh Winters.  It’s a fact that in his famous 1492 voyage, Christopher Columbus rationed pickles to his sailors to keep them from getting scurvy.  Cleopatra credited pickles as the reason for her legendary beauty.
